Our client is a leading quantitative investment and technology company. They use scientific techniques, big data and world-class technology to predict future movements in financial markets, and they develop the platform to deploy these ideas globally across multiple asset classes. They are looking for a Divisional Analyst to add capacity for analysing and reporting on the operation and delivery of the Division. The Divisional Analyst will report to the Division's Chief of Staff. The Division is growing, working on several large initiatives and continuously improving the way it develops software and this role will be central to facilitating the efficient management and delivery of these activities.
The role will include, but not be limited to, the following activities:
Regular administration of reporting data.
Data analysis of information from software development teams.
Cost & benefit analysis of the Division's initiatives.
Contribute material for monthly reporting for senior management.
Administration of Divisional information pages in Confluence.
Progress reporting and communication on initiatives within the Division.
Working with teams in other Divisions to prototype and deliver new reporting ideas.
Our client operates in a fast-paced technology environment and the successful candidate will need to be personable, collaborative and be able to take a self-starting approach to getting work done. You will be working closely with Software Engineers, Managers and Group Heads so it is important that you can communicate in a clear, concise and effective way. You will also need to be comfortable working with large and diverse data sets as well as developing managerial reports.
Other desired skills include:
Knowledge of Agile principles and project management theory.
Experience with Tableau, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint.
A track record of successful project delivery, as part of a team and more recently as a team lead.
Advanced Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook skills.
Technically astute with a passion for modern technologies.
Technical or scientific degree as well as understanding of software development.
Interest and experience working in a software engineering department or company.
Project management or business analysis experience.
